16-year-old shot in Kennewick drive-by

PASCO, Wash. -- A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting in Kennewick just after midnight Sunday. Police say the shooting was gang related. It happened in the SunMart parking lot at the intersection of 1st Ave. and Washington.

Kennewick Police say a group of people were standing outside a car in the parking lot. Another car drove by and a passenger fired shots at the group. A teenager from Pasco was hit in the leg. The suspect vehicle drove off towards Gum St. People in the area heard the gunshots and called police.

About 30 minutes later, a victim with a gunshot wound walked into the ER at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. Kennewick Police and Pasco Police are investigating.
