KENNEWICK, WA- "Go Navy Seals."
That's how retired Navy Captain John Butterfield began his remarks at today's Memorial Day Service at Riverview Cemetery in Kennewick.
Butterfield praised the team that killed Osama Bin Laden, and expressed his gratitude to all troops.
He also thanked those who stay behind.
"The wives, sweethearts, families, mothers, the people who give their support to the troops in the field. You are the ones who need to be applauded also."
Captain Butterfield says terrorism remains a real threat and all Americans need to stay vigilant.
