Crossing guards carry out a pretty important school function basically to make getting across a busy street safe.
"When everybody's crossing the streets, there's a lot of traffic from people coming in who drop their kids off from school, so it's really important that no one gets hit," says guard Myanna Moody.
"They put a lot of effort in day after day when schools in session to keep kids safe and to help then cross safely on their way to school," explains Kennewick police officer Mike Meyer.
Kids love truck and planes, and they also got to check out the departments swat vehicle and a med star helicopter.
