KENNEWICK, Wash. - A nine year old boy is sent to the hospital after being hit by a truck.
It happened at 2:50 this afternoon at the Columbia Mobile Village in Kennewick. Police say a man was driving out of the mobile home park when the nine year old boy ran across the street. He was hit and taken to Kennewick General Hospital.
Neighbors say people are always driving too fast through the area.
"The speed limit through here is 10 miles per hour, they probably do about 35-40, it depends, sometimes they go faster. There are pretty big speed bumps. I mean they don't pay attention. You would think it would ruin their car but they continue on doing it," said Terry Bailey, a neighbor.
The boy was taken to the hospital for head and leg injuries. He is expected to be ok.
