Washington wolf plan calls for 15 packs in state

Posted: Updated:

WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) - The state plan to restore gray wolves in Washington would allow landowners to kill a wolf caught in the act of killing livestock or a pet dog on private property.

The plan also calls for 15 packs - as many as 360 wolves - in the state before the lifting Endangered Species Act restrictions.

The Wenatchee World reports the plan is scheduled for final review in August by the Washington Wildlife Commission.
