Area high school football teams are out getting their spring practices in before finals next week.  The Kamiakin braves are one team that has no shortage of motivation. The Braves finished second in state last year.   In this upcoming season they'll have a new starting quarterback in Jason Hutchison, the brother of former Kamiakin QB Corey.  This will be Jason's first year as a starter in his football career.

Hutchison said, "I never started middle school or high school, besides JV. I know what I'm doing. I know all the reads and everything, so I think it will be fine. But I'm a little nervous because I'm the main man now."

Head Coach Scott Biglin added, "To improve his footwork and reading abilities... So he's doing a great job with that. His leadership has been the thing I've always talked to him and questioned him about. You know is he gonna be that leader? So far this year he's exceeded my expectations in that area."
