J.C. Biagi is back for his second season as the head man of the Walla Walla Sweets. He joins a handful of players returning for their second season with the Sweets, Biagi says he like to have at least a few players that are familiar with his style. Players say they like the Walla Walla-native because of his up-front style, and honesty towards his players. In return he's brought former players and new recruits in, which he feels can perform under his coaching philosophy.
Biagi said, "There's always going to be those guys that we want back that have been productive... that go about things the way that we like. Bottom line in all of it is that guys have to be willing and able to produce."
Sweets Infielder Chance Rapacz said, "He's a coach that's always on top of things. Wants you to push yourself, and strive to get better."
Second year Sweets Infielder Jacob Overbay said, "Really good at getting on us and making sure we stick together and work hard and kind of stay focus."
