Finalizing Columbia Park Golf Course Settlement Agreement
The settlement is made, and the check issued, from the City of Kennewick to the Columbia Park Golf Course Incorporated.
The Kennewick City Manager says they have mapped out a plan on how to fund the Columbia Park Golf Course Settlement Agreement.
The city will use one-time revenue sources to pay the one-time, 2.4 million dollar settlement.
The adjustments are broken down like this:
$650,000 will come from the general fund, $325,000 from the solid waste fund, and $1,495,150 from the capital improvement funding.
The city manager assures us taxpayers will not feel any pain in their pocket.
"From a taxpayers perspective, they are not going to see any additional taxes, we are still going to be doing the capitol programs that we have in our 2011-2012 budget," City Manager Marie Mosley said.
However, all of this does mean that some projects that were scheduled will be pushed back.
City Council needs to approve the budget adjustments for everything to be finalized. They will be discussing then voting on it during tomorrow's council meeting at 7pm.
