PASC0, Wash. -- A Franklin County jury has reached a verdict in a high profile murder trial in Pasco. After deliberations Wednesday afternoon, the jury found Ramon Garcia Morales guilty on all counts for the death of Alfredo Garcia.
Morales is guilty of 1st degree murder and 2nd degree assault for killing Garcia at his home in Pasco over two years ago, and critically injuring his wife.
Prosecuting Attorney, Terry Bloor said, "I feel a big sense of relief although there is still a co-defendant that remains to be prosecuted. I'm happy for the family that at least the one who did the shooting will be held accountable."
Kevin Holt, the Defense Attorney said, "It's extremely difficult with a non-responsive client and our dealings with him, I honestly believe he's checked out."
Sentencing is scheduled for June 28th. Morales could face 60 years in prison
Morales' brother, Jose is also accused in this case, but is undergoing mental evaluations at Eastern State Hospital.
