Man accused of killing his sister in Pasco homicide

PASCO, Wash. - Pasco Police say 28-year-old Aaron Velasco is accused of killing his sister, 22-year-old Magdalena Velasco-Garcia. Aaron has been booked into the Franklin County Jail for 2nd degree murder.

Aaron made is first court appearance Friday.  Court documents show he told dispatchers and police he had killed his sister.  He said his sister had been mean to him for the past few years, but he says he did not mean to kill her.  They also say Aaron had blood on his face, hands and clothing when he was taken into custody.

Aaron's facebook page shows he graduated from Sunnyside High School in 2001 and worked at American Building Maintenance.  According to the Franklin County Assessor's website the brother and sister are the owners of the home.

Magdalena was found dead outside their home on Glendive Court in East Pasco Thursday around 3 p.m. Police described it as a "violent homicide". Investigators say a weapon was used, but are not going into further detail at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.  Bail is set at $500,000.
