KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Kamiakin Braves and other area high school football teams are busy taking finals this week. But, as the Braves continue this spring, they will have in mind their state title game loss to Bellevue last season.
The 2nd place finish was the Braves highest since the 1995 season. Head Coach Scott Biglin says that is right where the Braves expect to be every year, fighting for a state title.
"I know for me I'm a competitor and once that bell sounded for the end of that Bellevue game I was ready to go for next year," said Biglin. "I have a good group of kids here. They've worked their tails off this offseason. There is very good leadership in our senior class. I'm excited to watch them play."
The Braves have a scrimmage with Chiawana this weekend.
