PASCO, Wash.—Even with increasing gas prices, truck enthusiasts traveled from all over for the annual American Truck Historic Society Event in Pasco on Saturday.
To fill-up one of the large trucks, it costs about $1,000. About 45 trucks were in the show, which is up by 20 from last year. One woman says gas prices aren't slowing down attendance for one main reason.
"Most of the people here, it's a hobby for them. This is what they like to do in their spare time. Most of the people are working or retired," says Amber Mcwhirk, organizer.
Last year the event continued onto Sunday, but this year it's only on Saturday. They weren't seeing a big enough turn out on the second day.
