TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Yakima Tribal Police are in charge of an assault investigation which put a woman in the hospital.
Lower Valley Dispatch say the received an emergency call around 6:30 Saturday morning about a woman who was beaten and then run over by a car.
Dispatch says, the woman was trapped underneath the car and had to be cut out. The operator says the call came from the three thousand block of McDonald Road near the Wapato intersection in Toppenish.
A tribal officer did confirm that there was an assault and the car involved was silver.
There was a silver car with a beaten in windshield and blood on the door in a yard in the area. It is not clear if that is the same car from the assault.
There is no word on the woman's name, condition, or age. There is also no word on if any arrests were made. Tribal Police Dispatcher says, we can speak to their Tribal Chairman Harry Smiskin on Monday.
