YAKIMA, Wash- A group of patriots are 18 days in to a 105-day cross-country road trip.  The Liberty Foundation is holding the "Crossing America Tour" to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

They started out in San Diego and will visit 43 states before finishing up in New York on September eighth.    The jeeps they're driving will be auctioned off at the end of the tour.  The goal is to raise money and also awareness.

"Memorial Day comes around, Veteran's Day, September 11, 4th of July and those are the times people think about our military.  It needs to a constant reminder that they are cared for an loved in this county", says Jorden Harvey, tour director.

The spirit of liberty foundation is asking people to call in donations to 1-855-2-Troops.  The proceeds will benefit "Wounded Warriors", and the "Families of Fallen Heroes" charities.
