YAKIMA, Wash- Some job seekers got up close and personal with employers and members of Yakima's work force today.
Goodwill's "Ready to Work" luncheon honored people and businesses that have been supportive of expanding job opportunities in the Valley.
One of the honorees was Michael Crenshaw. After being in and out of prison in his youth, he got into one of Goodwill's training programs. He's now their graduate of the year.
"It totally changed my life around. It was very eye opening, taught me all the necessary skills in customer service I need to do the job I do today," says Crenshaw.
Crenshaw is currently a car detailer at a local dealership. He and other job seekers sat at tables with members of the community to get feedback on their resumes, and to network.
