PASCO, Wash.-- Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna visited the Tri-Cities Wednesday.
He stopped by Lourdes Medical Center to meet with the CEO, John Serle, and other employees to talk about the hospital's employee wellness plan. McKenna was interested to learn how Lourdes has avoided increases in insurance costs for three years straight, while improving employee health.
KNDU also talked to the Attorney General about last week's announcement that he's running for governor. He says he plans to learn a lot from the Tri-Cities during the campaign. "The Tri-Cities is a real economic engine for our state. It's one of the few bright spots for job growth in our state. I can learn a lot from the companies and businesses here about why that's happening and how we can apply the lessons of the Tri-Cities to the rest of the state, " explains McKenna.
McKenna also toured Columbia Generating Station Wednesday.
