YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Yakima Bears had their 1st workout Wednesday and each player had a chance to feel their teammates out.

New manager Audo Vicente took a look at his players as they get ready to open their season at Vancouver Friday Night.

The Bear's new players are just excited to get started.

"It's a new season and I'm excited to get the season started," said infielder David Narodowski. "It's been a long spring training and I can't wait to get going."

"I just want to get used to the grind of the minor league season," said catcher Steve Rodriguez. "It's a new experience for me, getting to meet new guys, new people, play in new places, play with wood and the journey to move up every level."
