YAKIMA, Wash.--Junior Achievement World had its grand opening in Yakima last week.
The focus of the facility is to teach students about financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship through hands on programs outside the classroom. JA World of Washington, President and CEO David Moore said he is excited to have a program in the area and says many children will benefit.
"We've had over a thousand young people go through the program in just the three weeks that we've been open. And we're excited to be a part of the community and excited to be able to impact the lives of children throughout central Washington," said Moore.
JA World will start up again in the fall when the school year does but they say they plan on offering summer programs next year.
