KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Many kids are getting excited about summer camp. The ARC of the Tri-Cities started their week-long camps Monday for children with or without disabilities.
There will be 9-week long sessions through the summer. Organizers say it is all about giving every child a summer camp experience they'll never forget.
Executive Director, Judy Westsik said, "Kids are able to do things like every other child is able to do. Most of the time the kids that we serve are not able to go down the street and play with the neighbor. So this gives them that opportunity to play with other kids."
Anyone ages 2 to 21 can attend the day camps. A new one starts each week through the middle of August. They cost $125.
