Defense may ask Stuart be moved out of Franklin County Jail
PASCO, WA -Attorneys for a woman accused of murder say they may ask the woman be moved from Franklin to Benton County jail.
Pasco police arrested Tashia Stuart in March for shooting her adopted mother.
The jail nurse has been giving Stuart her medication for asthma and migraines. Prosecutors have included the nurse on the list of possible witnesses. Public defender Matt Rutt says he wants to know why.
Rutt says it's like the nurse is "acting as an agent for the state."
Prosecutors will turn over the transcript of their interview with the nurse, and the defense attorney says he may ask that Stuart be moved to the Benton County jail.
Stuart has claimed self defense. Prosecutors say Stuart and her adopted mother had been arguing over money.
