KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever and Colorado Ice have played twice and each time the game was decided in the final minute.
The home team won each time by a combined 10 points. They insist that a fast start is a must when they play in Colorado Monday night in the IFL Conference Semifinals.
That will take the crowd out of the game and allow the Fever to win it in the closing minutes. Those are pressure situations that quarterback Houston Lillard loves.
Lillard said, "I like it. I don't really get to shell-shocked or nervous. I like the moment. I'm not scared of it and I think that shows what players are made of, what you do in those moments."
Defensive Back Dwain Crawford added, "You just got to go out there and think that you are going to make the next big play for the team and kind of get things going the right way. Like we've been taught, the game isn't over until there is four 0's on the clock and you just got to keep fighting."
