YAKIMA, Wash.--The Yakima Valley is seeing big business this weekend with the 10th annual Sunshine and Wine event.
Event organizers say they've sold about 450 tickets so far but are expecting upwards of 600 people to attend. That means thousands of dollars will be raised through tickets alone.
Organizers also say visitors will bring in a large chunk of change to local hotels, restaurants, and shops.
They say last year they were happy with the big business and hope this year will surpass those numbers.
"In the past we've probably made anywhere from 15 to 20,000 net. But this year I have no idea."
Live music and a silent auction will also be at the event. sunshine and wine goes until 10pm Saturday night at the State Fair Grounds. Tickets are $35 at the door but you must 21 years or older to attend.
