RICHLAND, Wash. -- A New winery opened it's doors in the Tri-Cities. Kitzkie Cellars has been selling it's wine since 2005, but now they decided to turn their home into a tasting room. The Kitzkie family renovated their garage and welcomed a crowd for its grand opening Saturday.
The winery produces 400 cases a year, and they grow their grapes in their back yard. Up until now, they've been selling their wines at stores in Wenatchee, Moses Lake, Seattle and Spokane.
"It's hard to get out and self distribute. You really need a retail spot. That's why we chose to do this so that at this time we are not hitting the self distribution as much," Vickie Kitzkie
The tasting room is open only on weekends from 11 to 5:00 at 72308 East 260 PR in Richland. Bottle prices range from $10 to $29.
