PASCO, Wash. -- Have you ever wanted to check out a plane that was used during a world war?
Historic planes that played major roles in World War two will be on display beginning Monday at Bergstrom Aircraft in Pasco.
The national "Wings of Freedom Tour" features planes such as the B - 17 flying Fortress, B - 24 J Liberator, and the P - 51 Mustang.
Aircraft officials say this event is especially important for veterans in our area.
"It's pretty amazing, the event brings out a lot of veterans from that war, so we have a chance to hear stories and learn about those amazing aircraft and the people that served in that war," explains Amber Martin, general manager of Bergstrom Aircraft.
The historic planes will be flown in Monday around noon. The event which is part of a 110 city tour will last until Wednesday. It's free of charge to World War II vets. Visitors can take a thirty minute flight in the aircraft for $425.00 a person.
