YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Safe Sitter program in Yakima starts Wednesday. It teaches children from 11 to 13 the skills of how to watch the neighbors' younger children. Instructors will share the basics of handling safety and behavioral issues that might come up, and it is in a fun environment. Safety tips include CPR and how to keep injuries from happening in the first place. The program runs all summer long out of the Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
