RICHLAND, Wash.-- Some youngsters in the Tri-Cities got to launch their very own rockets Friday. The kindergarten through fifth graders built the rockets in Summer Science Camp this week at WSU Tri-Cities. 85 of the rockets were shot high into the sky as their final project of the week-long camp.
This was the 13th year the camp has launched rockets. The students also built battery-powered rovers. They say they learned about space, planets, rovers and rockets.
