Luna Luna says officers won't let him attend jail church services
PASCO, WA- A man accused of murder says corrections officers won't let him attend Sunday church services at the Franklin County Jail.
Gregorio Luna Luna says officers have also denied visits to his cell by a priest.
Corrections officers can keep an inmate from attending church if the inmate is considered a threat.
Pasco police arrested Luna Luna in May 2010 for stabbing Griselda Ocampo Meza during an argument over their young son.
State psychiatrists have finished their mental exam of Luna Luna, and have told attorneys they will have their diagnosis ready next month. Judge Robert Swisher says at that time he'll address the issue of Luna Luna's church privileges.
