KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Police arrested two men yesterday at Twin City Metals in downtown Kennewick after trying to sell stolen aluminum and copper.

The men, Jerry Blackburn of Wapato and "Bucky" York of Buena were arrested for the theft valued at $1,500.00 from Baker Produce in Toppenish. Employees from the Kennewick shop called police after becoming suspicious.

"Well we've seen an increase in the amount of calls we're getting from suspicious reports where people are saying this happened. It's kind of out of the ordinary. So, what it's done is open the communication lines," explains Mike Blatman of the Kennewick Police Department.

The arrest are the first since the workshop was held on June 2nd. The men accused of stealing the metal are behind bars in Benton County jail.
