Poor Starting Pitching Hurts Bears and Dust Devils in Losses
Kennewick, WA--- A tough night in the Northwest League for both Yakima and Tri-City. The Bears lost a closely played contest with Eugene 7-6. Starting pitcher Adam Kudryk did not get the defensive support he needed in this one. Kudryk pitching five innings, allowing seven runs, but only three were earned. The loss knocks Yakima to 7-16 on the season.
Meanwhile the Tri-City Dust Devils losing a slugfest with Salem-Keizer on the road, 14-7. Starting pitcher Ricardo Ferrer only pitched four inning, giving up 10 hits and 10 runs in the process. The Dust Devils are now below 500 with a record of 11-12.
