KENNEWICK, Wash.—Sunday started a week's worth of events for the Mid-Columbia Pride True Colors week. Supporters say it is important to bring awareness of gay pride to the community.
"I think there's an underline amount of discrimination but nobody comes out and says anything derogatory' but I do believe that there are raised eyebrows and people don't always want to deal with you," says Jason Kildall, Mid-Columbia Pride Chair.
