YAKIMA, Wash.-- A car show to help support local veterans was held in Yakima today.
This is the 3rd year that the Vet Center of Yakima has put on this event.
Organizers say that this is the biggest yet and they hope to raise a lot of money to help out local veterans when they return home from serving in the military.
"Our hearts are here for the veterans that have worked to keep the United States of America free. Every dime we raise goes to the veterans," said Jack McFarland of the Vet Center.
Also at the event was family of local soldier Joshua Stahl. They told us that Stahl was recently injured while serving in Afghanistan.
The 22 year-old Moxee native was hit by a mortar attack while on patrol.
He lost both of his legs and sustained other injuries and is still in critical condition.
