YAKIMA, Wash. -- The final three candidates for Yakima city manager arrive Tuesday morning. Yakima welcomes Don Cooper, Timothy Hacker and Jim Payne. The interviews will be the highlight of Tuesday's events.
All the interviews will be open to the public. Anyone interested can come by the City Council Chambers from 1 to 4 p.m. Each interview will take about an hour with Jim Payne going first. Tim Hacker is scheduled for 2 p.m. and Don Cooper is scheduled for 3 p.m. All three men have been serving as city managers in other parts of the country.
Before the interviews the finalists will tour the city. Some stops will include the Yakima Valley Museum and the downtown area. Wednesday the city council will conduct one-on-one private interviews with the finalists.
