Dust Devils Roommates Make Life Easier for Each Other
PASCO, Wash. -- The Yakima Bears and Tri-City Dust Devils had the day off Tuesday. The Dust Devils starting a five game series with Eugene at home Wednesday.
Two Dust Devils players will be returning to the same house. Tyler Massey and Ryan Casteel live together in the Tri-Cities and also live 30 minutes apart in Tennessee.
And they are both hitting about .300 this year for Tri-City.
These guys lived within 30 minutes of each other in the offseason. But, only saw each other once. Why, you ask?
"We didn't want to fight like brothers so we distanced ourselves," joked Casteel. "But, he's a great dude."
"He's younger than me and I came out young that way," said Massey. "He just has a zest for life, I guess I would say. He loves the game."
"He comes down and talks to me," said Casteel. "We get along great. We talk baseball. We just got done watching the college world series. So, we are just having some fun, hanging out, enjoing our summer."
