Hew Len's Status for IFL Championship Game Up in the Air
Kennewick, WA--- The Fever could have one of their top weapons back in the lineup Saturday in receiver Joey Hew Len. Hew Len missed the Fever's playoff win over Allen with a broken rib and punctured lung, but has been practicing this week.
The Fever receiver will be a game time decision on Saturday. He led the IFL in touchdown catches in the regular season. Between the injury and the championship game against Sioux Falls, Hew Len has a lot going through his mind this week.
Hew Len said, "Being careful, really pushing my body now when we're in practice to see if I am able to go or not, that's the main thing and if I can help out the team or not. I have to be honest with myself, honest with the coach whether I go or not."
Fever wide receiver Steven Whitehead added, "Joey Hew Len is paramount. Words can't describe what it would be like to have him on the field ... Not only for this offense but for this team ...He's a character guy and he brings tremendous leadership to the game that no one else has."
