YAKIMA, Wash.-- A puppy born without hind paws wouldn't stand much of a chance in many places. But one Yakima pet rescue has helped seven-week-old pitbull Angel get a new chance at life.
Wags to Riches contacted a rescue in Utah that found a California woman who would take Angel. Pilots for Paws Volunteer Nick Micskey came from Oregon to fly Angel to her new home.
"It's wonderful to have so many people interested in helping one little dog and there's a lot of them that don't get any help. This happens to be one of the fortunate ones," says Micskey.
Angel's new owner specializes in both pitbulls and animals with special needs. As she grows, they will make her a prosthesis if she needs one.
