RICHLAND. WA-The Washington Department of Ecology has given Richland's CREHST Museum a $62,000 grant to launch a public education campaign called "Don't Pour That on the Ground."
Through public presentations over the next two years, CREHST Museum director Ellen Low says the museum will to tell you what happens after the garbage truck leaves your house, and what happens after you flush.
"All of these things you don't think about, like what happens when you go to the loo, and where the waste happens to go to."
The campaign will also cover the Hanford clean up and the work to protect the nearby Columbia River.
CRESHT says museum presenters will visit local schools and other public venues beginning in the fall.
