YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima Valley residents are upset about the possible move of certain post office processing operations from Yakima to Pasco.
The U.S. Postal Service will hold a public meeting Thursday night at the Howard Johnson Plaza in Yakima.
They want to make sure people have their facts straight, and possibly alleviate some concerns. There will be an opportunity during the meeting for questions as well as comments on the proposed move.
"We're far enough along in this study to be able to have some hard information for them about exactly what it is that would take place and what impact it would have on the community," said Ernie Swanson, communications specialist for USPS.
Public comments made during the meeting will be part of the report given to the officials who will make the final decision on the move.
The public is encouraged to attend.
