Yakima courthouse updates coming later than expected
YAKIMA, Wash.-- Crews are still working on security updates to the Yakima County Courthouse and will finish a little later than expected. Due to technical issues, the changes have been pushed back to mid-August.
The updates include closing all entrances except the Second Street entrance and putting in metal detectors and security lockers.
Commissioners have also approved a $3.7 million contract to make the courthouse more energy efficient.
