It has been an up and down season for the Spokane Shock, but tonight the slate is wiped clean as they begin their quest for back to back Arena Bowl titles.  It's playoff time, and Spokane (9-9) will face the Arizona Rattlers (16-2) tonight in the first round in Phoenix.

Starting behind center for the Shock, a familiar face, quarterback Kyle Rowley.  Rowley led Spokane to the title last year, and has the confidence that he can do it again, despite a season that has been turbulent for him to say the least.

"This is what I envisioned from the beginning of the season," Rowley told SWX.  "This is what I always expect- to be out on the field.  The fact that I'm going to get the opportunity to do that and win another championship means the world to me.  That's my only focus as a professional athlete, winning championships.  Right now it's winning championships for the Spokane Shock."

Rowley lost his starting job earlier this season, but is back in after Eric Meyer was put on I.R. just before the playoffs.  Rowley definitely has the confidence of head coach Rob Keefe going into tonight's game.

"The fact that he is 4-0 as a starter versus Arizona, the fact that he has been in this position before in his career is really good for his teammates to see," said Keefe.  "I think the chip is definitely going to be out this week because it needs to be, you have to be really confident to win football games."

The Shock and Rattlers split their two regular season games this year, kickoff tonight is at 7 o'clock.
