RICHLAND, WA-There's new life for a building that's never been used.
The City of Richland has given the green light to plans to convert Waterford Place into a hotel.
Four years ago, the developer envisioned the Waterford as a high-end condominium, complete with a luxurious clubhouse, but that project never caught on.
The city building permit shows the developer plans to build a 100-room hotel next to the main building. Vandervert Construction out of Spokane also plans to build an office building on the property.
No word when construction may start.
