Worst BCS Stadiums In America Are...

A list making the Internet rounds Tuesday morning showed the 10 worst BCS stadiums in the country. Wouldn't you know it? Three of them are stadiums in the Pac-12. And one of them is – you guessed it – Washington State's Martin Stadium.

The Lost Letterman put Martin Stadium at No. 7, worse than the L.A. Coliseum (USC) and worse than California Memorial Stadium (Cal).

Said the website: "Needless to say, it's the smallest stadium, capacity-wise, in the Pac-12. It's probably better off that way. The Cougars are 5-32 in their last three seasons and haven't been to a bowl game since 2003. But Martin Stadium certainly does nothing to inspire them."

Martin Stadium got poor marks for its metal benches and lack of an upper deck. It should be noted, though, that WSU got permission back in January to begin the process of updating the venue. Initial plans call for a new press box complex and premium seating on the stadium's south side. Work was expected to begin after the 2011 season and be completed by the 2012 home opener.

Before Coug fans get too upset about the ranking, it could be worse. Martin Stadium is still better than Nippert Stadium (Cincinnati), Ryan Field (Northwestern), Vanderbilt Stadium (Vanderbilt), Wallace Stadium (Duke), Floyd Casey Stadium (Baylor), and Memorial Stadium (Kansas).

What, in your opinion is right about Martin Stadium?
