MOXEE, Wash.-- The Moxee Hop Festival was held Friday and Saturday at Moxee City Park. Organizers say it was a big success, drawing in huge crowds.
The annual event marks the beginning of the hop harvest season, a crop that is plentiful in Moxee and the East Valley.
There were activities for the kids, food vendors, live music, and a beer garden.
"The people love it. It's amazing to see the amount of people that come out to this thing," said Tony Roth, one of the event organizers. "Last night there was probably 7,000 plus people in the park last night. it was phenomenal."
The festival helps raise money for the East Valley Community Enhancement Association, which works to improve the quality of life for folks in the East Valley.
