Vintiques has seen steady decline in participation
YAKIMA, Wash.-- The 37th annual Vintiques Northwest Nationals car show at State Fair Park in Yakima was held this weekend.
Club members say it was another successful show with more than 600 cars.
However organizers say they've seen a significant drop in numbers over the years and say it's because of the struggling economy.
"In years past we've had up to 1,200 cars come to the show but again.... with the gas prices and the economy people are going to different shows," said Mike Fairbanks, one of the organizers of the event.
They did have enough participation to raise money for various local organizations and to put away for next years show.
