KENNEWICK, Wash.--KHS Senior fundraising starts early. Kennewick High School Seniors are raising money not just for a great end of the year party but now they're looking toward the future.
This weekend Kennewick High School students put on a yard sale to help teens going to college. ASB Officer Gerardo Alvarado says "we buy TVs, we buy computers, we buy a lot of stuff for preparation for college and give them away."
Seniors are set a goal to raise more than $18,000 for their senior night celebration. Raffle tickets and games will be played for graduating students to win prizes.
So far they've raised more than $1,000. Senior class members say it's a great way to get the school year started before classes have even begun.
