RICHLAND, WA-Some high school students in the Tri-Cities want to speak in one, influential voice.
The students Friday held their first meeting of the Student Voice Project.
Chiawana High School senior Jared Constanzo says he hopes to get students throughout the Mid-Columbia to get involved in issues affecting students.
"These issues can range from school bond issues, safety, school in general," Costanzo says.
The students have elected a board of directors, and once the group as a whole has settled on any position, Costanzo says representatives will attend local city council and school board meeting to share those views.
Students who want to get involved can go to the Student Voice Project page on Facebook.
