YAKIMA, Wash.-- Some Yakima neighbors are a little rattled today after hearing an explosion.
It happened on Gordon Rd., off N. 1st St. at around 10 this morning.
People in the area called 911 saying they heard a loud boom.
Yakima Police and Fire were called to the scene to investigate but there was no damage to surrounding buildings.
People we talked to said the explosion was so loud they could feel it, even from blocks away.
"Just sitting out having coffee this morning and heard a little bit of a hissing sound and then a very large ka boom," said Barrie Loberg who heard the blast. "Car alarms going off from the explosion and that was about all I heard."
YPD did find a device in the area but are not saying what exactly it is.
No one was injured, and police are still investigating.
