PASCO, Wash.-- Sacajawea State Park fire is under investigation. A loud bang in the middle of the night woke up some campers who called 911 when they saw flames in Sacajawea State Park.
Pasco Police and firefighters responded to the scene early on this morning to put out a fire in a storage shed and shower building in the park.
Pasco Fire Department Captain Pat Henrickson says "we are considering it suspicious and it is being turned over to the police department for investigation."
The building was completely destroyed. It took firefighters several hours to put out the flames. No other structures or damages have been reported. Some people have been questioning whether there was any gang involvement in the fire.
Firefighters told us they cannot confirm or deny if any gangs were involved and that the situation still needs to be investigated.
