KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Cancer Society receives donation from someone unexpected. The American Cancer Society receives a donation from kids at a lemonade stand.

Michelle Patrick, 13, and Dylan Doremus, 11, gave a check for $509.00, money they got by selling lemonade with their friends. The group held several lemonade stands this summer to raise awareness.

Jody O'Connor of the American Cancer Society says "to see children get involved that way because they personally have been touched by cancer in some way is fantastic because they are the next generation of the adults that come in to some of our major fundraiser's throughout the U.S. And throughout the world."

Michelle and Dylan plan to raise the same amount of money next year or more. They have set up a website for people who want to keep making donations.
