Cowgirl College at the county fair and rodeo

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- People coming to next weeks Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo will have lot's of new events this year one of them will be "Cowgirl College. "

It lets women take lessons from experienced cowboys to learn how the rope a calf and bucking horse. There's a 50 dollar cost to participate in the class.

But fair organizers say all money raised goes to a good cause, "that's a fundraiser for our tough enough to wear pink campaign. Which raises funds for mammograms for women in our community to help prevent breast cancer," explains Lori Lancaster of the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo.

All students will also receive VIP passes to the rodeo, T- shirts and a wine glass. You must be 21 to participate but time is running out. Anyone interested must sign up before August 20th. The rodeo will be held Saturday August 27th. You can contact the fair at
