@Richland, Wash.- Leaders at the Red Cross say over the summer vacations and travel plans often lead to fewer blood donations.
But one Kennewick man never misses his appointment. He's donated 25 gallons of blood over the last 60 years.
Harold Ericson gave our country two years in the Korean War and has made over 200 visits to the Red Cross to give even more.
Ericson says the donations keep him healthy. Like going to the doctor for a mini physical every 56 days.
@He says knowing he's helped about 600 people is a great feeling. And he highly recommends it.
"so many things happen in life that are depressing I mean here's something that gives me a boost," says Ericson.
